BOARDING YOUR PET(S) AT
Welcome to Farmington Animal Hospital!
Boarding your pet at our veterinary hospital ensures you of high quality,
individualized, doctor-supervised pet care. If your pet has any preexisting
or ongoing problems that you would like the veterinarian to examine, this
may be the perfect time to attend to them. Or, if your pet is currently
under treatment we will continue with the prescribed instructions. There is
an additional charge for administering medications.
The size of accommodation is matched to your pet’s
needs and comfort. Weather permitting dogs are free to move between indoor
and outdoor covered runs. Both dog and cat wards are disinfected twice a
day.
We now offer playtime! Inquire at time of admission.
pets must be current on
required immunizations to board. For canines: Rabies, Distemper and
Bordetella. Bordetella must be current within 6 months. For felines: Rabies
and Distemper. If your pet(s) is not current on these vaccinations and we
have not been provided with written proof of vaccination upon arrival your
pet(s) will be vaccinated for the above mentioned immunizations.
All pets must have had a fecal exam for internal
parasites within the past 6 months or be checked during the current visit.
Pet’s testing positive will be treated.
All pets will be checked
for fleas and ticks and, if present, will be treated prior to entry to the
wards.
Please leave us with an
emergency phone number.
Call our office to give us the dates of your pet’s
reservation.
Please
call early for holiday reservations.
We do fill up quickly. Pre-pay for 30 days and get a 10% discount on
boarding. The thirty days may be used consecutively or at your convenience.
A credit generated from a pre-payment can also be used for any service or
product.
You may bring your pet’s own food.
This can help eliminate gastro-intestinal upset often associated with
sudden diet changes. Otherwise
we feed the appropriate HILL’S diet for your pet’s life stage.
Pets are fed per your instructions.
We will be happy to bathe
your pet on the day of discharge.
Why not take home a clean, fluffy pet?
Pets will be admitted and
discharged only during our regular office hours.
Any pet requiring unexpected veterinary attention
will receive appropriate treatment at the veterinarian’s discretion and at
the owner’s expense.
We prefer you do not leave your own toys, bedding,
leashes or carriers. We have all
the supplies your pet needs and your belongings will not be subject to loss
or damage.
Every pet boards differently.
It is our concern to make your pet as happy as possible during your
absence. If you
notice any
changes in your pet after pick-up, please let us know.
Inform us also if any specific changes should be
made for the next
boarding visit.
THANK
YOU!
And . . . have a nice time!!
Satisfaction from you and your pet is important to us.
We welcome your feed-back.
